RETTEW's History
RETTEW is a full-service consulting firm with a history of consistent ranking among the top design firms in the nation. We attribute our success to nearly four decades of exemplary service to a full spectrum of both public and private clientele.
Our earliest clients include municipalities who engaged RETTEW as their engineer of record to provide general municipal representation, plan reviews, and civil engineering for capital improvement projects. Anticipating our clients' broader policy-driven needs, however, we soon began offering comprehensive plan development and ordinance preparation. Today our community planners provide regional, county-wide, municipal, and corridor planning, as well as the latest niche services, including green infrastructure and downtown/main street planning. Each plan is individualized to address each community's unique goals and landscape from rural to urban.
From RETTEW's earliest days, we've also cultivated relationships with many private developers, providing surveying, land development and landscape architecture, and engineering and environmental services. Remaining carefully attuned to the latest trends in land use, sustainable design, and the rise of smart growth concepts and community revitalization, RETTEW has since opened its town planning studio, specializing in projects that embrace New Urbanism design philosophy and are driven by public participation through the charrette process.
