"Cinderella Story" in Historic Annapolis

 

A 6.5 - acre housing authority property in historic Annapolis is made up of two developments College Creek Terrace and Obery Court. Both contain buildings with vacant rental units, maintenance problems, and poor building-site plan orientation resulting in an increase in crime and a decrease in property value. RETTEW teamed with a local architectural firm to prepare three concepts for the development of a new site plan. All three concepts were carefully planned to orient buildings along the improved creek frontage. The concepts included 207-220 residential townhouses, a multi-level apartment building for seniors, a community building with a basketball court, meeting space, adjacent playgrounds and a community garden, and new off-street parking areas.
