Diverse Participation Results in a Stronger Plan

 

Lebanon County is seeking a comprehensive plan that will serve as a blueprint for enhancing its place as a transportation crossroads in Central Pennsylvania while maintaining the attractive features that draw residents and businesses to the area. As a subconsultant, RETTEW is helping to develop such a plan for the County. RETTEW is in the process of completing the natural resources, recreation, and greenway portions of this plan. We will examine the best method for providing recreation amenities for the county's existing and future residents, identify a green infrastructure and connectivity plan, and determine which natural features are at greatest threat of being developed. The plan has the valued participation of the major funding and regulatory agencies that work with county and local governments in Pennsylvania. All of these agencies-PennDOT, DEP, DCNR, DCED, and even PHMC-have a vested interest in the success of the planning process and will be partners in funding the plan's implementation strategies.
