A New Day! A New Way!

 

It is all about the "greening" of America; and in this case, Lancaster County. RETTEW and WRT have partnered to enhance the quality of the County's water resources; preserve open space, particularly forest lands; protect and enhance water quality; protect habitat for hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing; enhance biological diversity by preserving and restoring native plant and animal habitats; and improve quality of life-natural resources. These plans will serve to increase awareness of the social, economic, and environmental importance of green infrastructure and to develop outdoor recreation opportunities including outdoor learning. Both plans will emulate the ideals that citizens see as essential to maintaining the character of the area.
