Residents Involved in Community Planning: A Great Idea Takes Off

 

Manheim Township is a rural residential community experiencing growth pressures from Hanover and portions of northern Maryland. This project was a resident-driven planning program with a strong emphasis on community involvement, soliciting meaningful feedback from a citizen survey and informal community meetings. RETTEW assisted the Township with updating its comprehensive plan and developing revised zoning and subdivision and land development ordinances. RETTEW provided mapping for the Township using ArcView GIS software and GIS property data from the York County Planning Commission.
